USA: Final Season Of ‘Burn Notice’ Premiere Date Set, Adrian Pasdar, Jack Coleman Join Cast, NEW TRAILER!

Thanks to the urgings of Talk-Radio Tastic (my Dad) I started watching the USA hit spy series Burn Notice two weeks ago.  I have no idea how I had neglected this series as long as I did and I have become absolutely addicted to it to the point where I did Breaking Bad-style marathoning, watching the first six seasons in a week.  Regret and sadness has set in, though.  I’m going through withdrawal, I’m beating myself up over not following the series from the beginning, much like I hadn’t with Battlestar Galactica (I only started watching that series seven months after its series finale aired) and to make matters worse, I just found out that the upcoming seventh season will be its last.  Well, at least I have my Michael Westen sunglasses to help me cope.

SyFy: ‘Continuum’ Season Two Premiere Date Announced (TRAILER!)

NEW YORK, NY (March 18, 2013) – MTV will debut the first half of its expanded 20-episode third season of the critically acclaimed series “Awkward” on Tuesday, April 16 with an hour-long premiere event featuring the first two episodes back-to-back at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. The following week, MTV will debut new series, “Girl Code,” a spin-off of the successful comedic series “MTV2’s Guy Code”  immediately following an all-new “Awkward” on Tuesday, April 23 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.

In the first two seasons of “Awkward,” Jenna Hamilton tackled the age old questions all teenagers face:  “who am I” and “who do I want be with?”  Now, as she enters her junior year at Palos Hills High, Jenna is finally confronting the daunting question: “who do I want to be?”  Season three picks up with Jenna feeling left behind now that Ming and Tamara start to blossom socially in ways that she hasn’t.  Once again, Jenna seems to be solely living her life through her relationship with Matty and is starting to question if there is more for her beyond her love life and the life that she knows at Palos Hills.   To check out the season three trailer, click here.

U.S. Premiere Date Of Season Three Of ‘Sherlock,’ Benedict Cumberbatch Confirms Fourth Season

By now, you know how much we love the BBC’s Sherlock and we found out recently that Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the role of the titular character in this contemporary take on Sir Arhtur Conan Doyle’s classic, has confirmed that there will indeed be a fourth season (series) of the hit series.

The remarks came at the South Bank Show Awards in London on March 12th, where Cunberbatch also verified the return of his co-star Martin Freeman as Dr. John Watson.

“We’ve agreed to two more series but I could get into trouble for saying that.  All I know at the moment is I’m doing these three [episodes of the upcoming series] and another three.”

Cumberbatch also stated that both he and Freeman are very interested in doing more seasons, noting that it is all dependent on he, Freeman and showrunner Steven Moffat’s availability.

“It just depends on Martin and I’s availability, how long we can keep it going. It depends on Steven’s ability. I’d love to keep it going.”

Season (series) three of Sherlock was supposed to begin shooting in 2012 but was delayed until January 2013 because of he and Freeman’s schedules (Cumberbatch was shooting the latest J.J. Abrams Star Trek film and Freeman was shooting The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey… with Cumberbatch) and has been delayed yet again as Cumberbatch was recently in Germany shooting the Wikileaks film, The Fifth Estate. Steven Moffat is also the showrunner on the hugely popular Doctor Who so getting everyone together at 221B Baker Street is proving to be challenging.

That being said, production on season (series) three of Sherlock has begun and U.S. audiences can expect new episodes this winter.

NEW YORK – March 6, 2013 – Syfy will kick off the spring season with a powerhouse lineup of scripted and unscripted programming led by the groundbreaking transmedia event Defiance (April 15) and the Season 4.5 return of Warehouse 13 (April 29), as well as the debut of the new reality series Deep South Paranormal (April 10).

This spring will also mark the season finales of Stranded (April 3); Being Human (April 8); Lost Girl (April 22) and Robot Combat League (April 23), and the series farewell of Merlin (final five episodes air May 3-May 31).

APRIL

DEEP SOUTH PARANORMAL (NEW ORIGINAL SERIES)

Premieres Wednesday, April 10 at 10 PM – Deep South Paranormal Research is a bayou-based team on a mission. Steeped in the rich history of their Homeland, they want to unlock the ghostly mysteries that have baffled Southerners for years. They are a homegrown blend of Cajun, Creole and self-proclaimed rednecks who share a passion for this part of the country and the paranormal events that take place there. They take on anything from swamp apparitions and haunted plantation houses to Southern voodoo legends. Investigations during this six-episode season include Alabama’s Bear Creek Swamp, the Old Cahawba ghost town, Florida’s Manntown Cemetery and the Mont Helena Plantation in the Mississippi Delta, to name just a few. Deep South Paranormal is produced by BASE Productions. John Brenkus and Mickey Stern serve as executive producers.

DEFIANCE (NEW ORIGINAL SERIES)

Premieres Monday, April 15 at 9PM – Syfy’s highly-anticipated transmedia event Defiance is the first-ever convergence of television and online gaming, featuring an interconnected world between the two mediums as they evolve together into one overall story. The series’ luminous cast includes Grant Bowler, Julie Benz, Stephanie Leonidas, Tony Curran, Jaime Murray, Graham Greene and Mia Kirshner. Set in the near future, Defianceintroduces an exotically transformed planet Earth, its landscapes permanently altered following the sudden – and tumultuous – arrival of seven unique alien races. In this somewhat unknown and unpredictable landscape, the richly diverse, newly-formed civilization of humans and aliens must learn to co-exist peacefully. Each week, viewers will follow an immersive character drama set in the boom-town of Defiance, which sits atop the ruins of St. Louis, MO, while in The Game, players will experience the new frontier of the San Francisco Bay area.

The series is executive produced by Kevin Murphy (“Desperate Housewives,” “Caprica,” “Hellcats”), who also serves as showrunner, Michael Taylor (“Battlestar Galactica”) and Rockne O’Bannon (“Farscape”). Scott Stewart (“Legion,” “Priest”) directed the pilot; Michael Nankin will serve as supervising producer/director on the series.Defiance is produced by Universal Cable Productions.

Ghost Hunters (SPRING PREMIERE)

Premieres Wednesday, April 17 at 9 PM – Amy Bruni’s back! Ghost Hunters kicks off six brand new episodes with the return of its old friend “Red,” as TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) founder Jason Hawes fondly calls her. Amy joins the team for her first investigation since going on maternity leave last year. In the spring premiere, TAPS is invited to Louisiana’s Shreveport Auditorium to investigate claims of paranormal activity at the famed venue where Elvis Presley played his first professional gig. Did the King of Rock ‘n Roll really leave the building or will TAPS find evidence that Elvis’ spirit is still performing for an audience of apparitions? Ghost Hunters is produced for Syfy by Craig Piligian’s Pilgrim Studios (Dirty Jobs, The Ultimate Fighter, Top Shot). Piligian and Thomas Thayer, along with Mike Nichols and Alan David, serve as executive producers.

Warehouse 13 (SEASON 4.5 PREMIERE)

Returns Monday, April 29 at 10PM – In the premiere episode “The Living and the Dead,” the series picks up on the stunning, mid-season cliffhanger. Artie (Saul Rubinek) has infected the Warehouse Team – and the world –with the Black Orchid Artifact’s deadly “Sweating Sickness.” If Pete (Eddie McClintock), Myka (Joanne Kelly), Claudia (Allison Scagliotti) and Steve (Aaron Ashmore) can’t reverse what Artie has done, the world will be engulfed by the deadliest pandemic since the Dark Ages. But the Team is already succumbing to the disease’s symptoms as they race to stop the artifact sickness — before it stops them.

Among the new Season 4.5 guest stars are Polly Walker (Caprica, Rome), who portrays Charlotte Dupres, a historian who may know more about the Warehouse than she lets on. Walker’s multi-episode arc begins in the premiere. Later in the season, Kelly Hu (The Scorpion King, Cradle 2 the Grave) joins the cast as Abigail Cho, a protégé of Mrs. Frederic (CCH Pounder). Returning Season 4.5 guest stars include Jaime Murray as H.G. Wells and Kate Mulgrew as Jane Lattimer. Warehouse 13 is produced for Syfy by Universal Cable Productions. WEIRD OR WHAT? (NEW SERIES)

Premieres Tuesday, April 30 at 9PM – Hosted by William Shatner, each episode of Weird or What? contains three separate stories of the bizarre and unexplained. As the show unfolds, it weighs various supernatural and scientific theories that attempt to explain the story, and sometimes features tests conducted as proof of a theory’s plausibility. The show features strange occurrences such as aliens, ghosts, monsters and natural disasters.

BATTLEDOGS (NEW ORIGINAL MOVIE)

Premieres Saturday, April 6 at 9PM – When a werewolf virus threatens to decimate New York City – and the world — a rogue general uses the disease to create an army of super soldiers. Battledogs stars Dennis Haysbert, Craig Sheffer, Kate Vernon and Bill Duke.

STONADOS (NEW ORIGINAL MOVIE)

New York – March 29, 2013 – AMC announced today that the critically acclaimed drama “The Killing” will return for its third season with a two-hour premiere on Sunday, June 2 at 8:00 p.m ET/PT. The new season, which stars Mireille Enos (Sarah Linden) and Joel Kinnaman (Stephen Holder) along with new cast members Peter Sarsgaard, Elias Koteas and Amy Seimetz, is executive produced by series creator Veena Sud, and will focus on a new case, which will be resolved over the course of ten episodes, ending with a gripping two hour finale.

Season three begins one year after the close of the “Rosie Larsen” case (the focus of the series’ first two seasons) with Sarah Linden (Enos) no longer working as a detective. But when her ex-partner Stephen Holder’s (Kinnaman) search for a runaway girl leads him to discover a gruesome string of murders that connects to a previous murder investigation by Linden, she is drawn back into the life she thought she’d left behind.
