Really looking forward to the sample release. To be honest I’m not sure If I’m gonna buy the whole series, I myself I’m more of a DS9 fan, I realize that only good TNG sales make it possible to also eventually se DS9 being released on BLU..if ever…so I’m not really sure, if the prive is right perhaps..
Yes, I’m very excited about it. I love all of the Treks but the best thing about TNG on BD is that it opens the door for the subsequent series, in particular DS9.
Exactly right! 😉 For me DS9 is the TREK show, always been. Watch it every few years since 1993 [yes really!] Re-watched TNG also 2 of 3 times perhaps but because there is no arc involved it’s not going anywhere. Still it’s SF and a hell of a Captain! 😉 I do like the TNG movies also, all of them, perhaps more than the series.
DS9 is my favorite Trek as well and it’s what made me a Trek fan because of the serial arc. The story goes like this: In 1997 I picked up the hobby of model building and a whole bunch of toy and hobby stores had a bunch of Star Trek kits on sale, dirt cheap. I used to work on them late at night and the local FOX affiliate used to play DS9 reruns, in order, Monday – Friday at 1:00 a.m. I instantly was hooked and began immersing myself in all things Trek. And, yes The Defiant is the most bad-ass ship in all of Starfleet.
When I was a kid I watched Buck Rogers; Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek TOS; Logun’s Run and Doctor Who, the fifth doctor. Then I “lost” sci-fi a bit. TNG brought that back in the later seasons when I was beginning to watch it, especially with the movie Generations! Do you remember CD-I ? What we have before DVD.
All the TREK movies were released on it, then the first 7 movies. I watched them multiple times and my love for SCI-FI exploded. My favorite SF shows are DS9 [of course] and Babylon 5. I like Battlestar Galactica 2003 also, not as much as these 2 shows but in my opinion BSG 2003 could not have been possible without DS9 and B5.
Regarding BSG 2003, I really love the first 2 seasons, after that, for me, it got less interesting, still good but not as good as the first 2 seasons, those are awesome.
